The texts that shaped my practice — and the questions I keep returning to.
I'm a lifelong student of the human experience. These are the books I return to most often — for clients, for clinicians, and for myself. Read them slowly. Underline what speaks to you. Bring questions to our sessions.
Every book I recommend — for clients, for couples, for clinicians, for parents — curated and updated regularly.

One of my all time favorite books as a therapist. What I appreciate most about this book is how clearly it lays out a path toward integration. It doesn’t just name what we need more of (like worthiness, authenticity, and self-compassion), but also gently challenges us to look at what we have to release in order to get there.
I really value how this book highlights the way our earliest relationships shape the dynamics we later recreate. It speaks to how we can unconsciously seek out familiar patterns rooted in our primary attachment experiences.
One of the things I love most about this book is how tangible and visual the tools are. They offer clients something they can actively do in moments of distress rather than just something to intellectually understand. I’ve used many of these tools in my own clinical work, and they’ve been incredibly effective and transformative. I also appreciate that they empower clients to continue the work on their own outside of session.
I love how this book breaks down different themes of consciousness and clearly illustrates how we can get stuck in patterns of wounding. At the same time, it offers a pathway toward growth and expansion into higher levels of awareness.
This is a powerful resource for clients navigating spirituality—especially those who have experienced religious trauma. I’ve found it helpful in supporting clients at many different stages of their spiritual journey, offering language and structure to understand their experiences while also encouraging a more integrated, emotionally healthy approach to faith and personal meaning.
